Three-phase motor insulation degradation monitoring module CPS-MM-LC
This is an innovative product that allows for the measurement of the insulation resistance of three-phase motors while they are in operation, which previously required the equipment to be stopped.
CPS-MM-LC is used in combination with a CPU module (M2M controller model: CPS-MCS341-DS1-131, etc.) that has built-in data collection and web monitoring functions. By installing the included dedicated ZCT (zero-phase current transformer) on the electrical circuit of existing equipment such as pumps, compressors, air conditioning fans, metal processing machines, and conveyor equipment that use three-phase motors (induction motors), it can be immediately utilized as a continuous monitoring device for equipment maintenance. Motor inspections are typically conducted regularly based on a schedule, as they require the equipment to be stopped, making it difficult to predict sudden motor failures in advance. Additionally, for equipment using inverters, it was necessary to disconnect the motor wiring during inspections. The CPS-MM-LC can measure the insulation resistance of operating three-phase motors, eliminating the need to stop the equipment for inspections. This transforms maintenance work into a style where data from continuous monitoring can be viewed, significantly improving operational efficiency and preventing equipment failures, thereby enhancing operational rates. Furthermore, it is useful from a safety management perspective as it allows for direct monitoring of the insulation resistance component (I0r) values, which are considered to pose a high risk of overheating and electric shock.
